Run with Run:Hope
Thanks for your interest in running on behalf of Run:Hope!
What does a runner do?
Runners help raise funds for the Run:Hope program by engaging donors to sponsor them to run races in their own communities. They can run individually or form a team to run as a group. We ask individual runners and teams to commit to run at least one race a year. Funds raised will be used to build a scholarship fund for participating students and teachers. This form of support is meant to mirror the community race days in Quiché so that both the students and people who contribute financially have a point of connection and parallel ownership of the program.
How does it work?
Once the runner or team captain signs up, we’ll create your runner page. Through this page you’ll be able to start fundraising by running races of your choice.
A bit of background on Run:Hope
Run:Hope is a holistic, education initiative to strengthen teachers and students in three communities of Quiché. Our goal is to improve access to successful básico (middle school) programs that will nurture a generation of future leaders. As part of our efforts to raise awareness of the importance of a middle school education, we will be co-hosting student race days in Quiché with the three schools participating in the program.
